Codan is a Spanish company created in 1961 by the De La Torre family, who settled in the neighborhood of Vallecas. In 1963 they moved to a factory of 600 square meters located in Arganda del Rey.

In 1973 they installed their first automatic production line. In the same year they suffer an accident that destroys the factory. Later, in 1983 they renewed the corporate image. This image was also renewed in 1993 and 2008. In the same year they launch their product line Codan Te Cuida.

In 1985 Codan expanded internationally, making its first exports to France.

In 1990, Codan Conchas, the original ones, were launched to the market, becoming a star product of the brand in a very short time, which is still a success today.
