Chocolates Elgorriaga is a Spanish chocolate company founded in the middle of the 19th century and currently belongs to the Urbasa Global Brands S.A. group from Alava.

The family business grew with the love for drinking chocolate, and at the beginning of the 20th century, under the management of Francisco Elgorriaga Ayestarán, it became one of the first producers in the national market. One of the star products was the chocolate bar called Chocolate La Campana.

The company was founded in 1770 when the Elgorriaga family opened the first chocolate factory in our country. Based in Irún (Guipúzcoa), its most loyal customers included King Alfonso XIII and the Spanish Royal Family.

Since then, Elgorriaga has been synonymous with quality and treason, being pioneers in the development and introduction of our products in the Spanish memory and homes.

The artisan manufacture of chocolate began in 1838, being in 1954 when the first factory of Chocolates Elgorriaga, called Elgorriaga Chocolates S.A., was created.

In 1968 they launched their Milkcream chocolate bar, the first white chocolate bar to be sold in Spain, later they started manufacturing the popular La Campana de Elgorriaga chocolate bar.

Today the company continues to expand its presence in more than 40 countries, continuing to work on the development of new products to meet the needs of all customers.
